The International Society of Logistics - Europe, SOLEUROPE, shall represent a strong European-centred Logistics Network. All Logisticians, individuals, corporate entities, or academies, irrespective of speciality or nation in Europe, are welcome to join this Network. |
|
Through our united efforts we will do our best to advance the interest in, and the professionalism of, Logistics in the widest possible area in accordance and openly with logistics professional associations. |
|
SOLEUROPE shall provide improved opportunities for European professional growth
in the field of logistics by: |
|
| . | conducting specific workshops, courses and logistic seminars; |
|
| . | assisting and supporting closely the development of formal logistics programs in schools and universities; |
|
| . | publishing or sponsoring the publication of logistics books, studies, monographs and journals in appropriate European languages; |
|
| . | establishing an European Certified Professional Logistician program; |
|
| . | enabling the use of the Logistics Education Foundation program for scholarships and dissertation awards; |
|
| . | initiating a Glossary of Logistic Terms in six languages. |
|
| . | supporting each year an award to an emeritus logistician who enhances the logistics science |
|
SOLEUROPE shall provide productive professional relationships, joint programs and the exchange of expertise and idea by: |
|
| . | acting as a international scientific and neutral forum for European industry, academia, government and European national logistic organisations to enhance 'teaming', partnerships and interdependencies; |
|
| . | providing an increased support to its members with a view to developing a 'Centre of Excellency' within the European Community, and to ultimately qualify for funds and financial assistance through the European Union; |
|
| . | gaining recognition and reputation in the public for being a society of professional logisticians in Europe; |
|
SOLEUROPE as an independent European organisation shall act as an equal partner of and remain affiliated to SOLE in North America |
